Chilli Plant 'Maruga Red'
- Extremely Hot Chilli.
- Wrinkled hot red skins when ripe.
- Flaming heat from good-looking scorpion-tail red peppers.
- Probably the second hottest chilli behind Carolina Reaper.
Record-breaking Moruga Red is a powerful beast packing over 1.2 million Scoville units on average and is certainly no wallflower when it comes to flavour and bright red fruit. This variety is certainly not for the faint-hearted. First developed in the Maruga area in the South of the Island of Trinidad and Tobago. Steadlily spreading to be grown more commonly and becoming the Hottest recorded chilli in the world in the early 2010's.
We recommend you wear gloves when picking fruits.
