An English variety, also known as 'Williams' Bon Chrétien', with large, yellow fruits which are very juicy and full of sweet, rich flavour. Tasty eaten fresh but one of the best for poaching too.
A strong, reliable cropper, 'Green Williams' has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit for excellent performance.
An early cropping variety, expect crops from late August.
