Strelitzia reginae
The Strelitzia more commonly known as the ‘Bird of Paradise’ has vibrant flowering, which mimics the feathering of a ‘Bird of Paradise’ which gives the plant a tropical flair. This plant would be best planted in a pot or a bucket where excess water can easily drain away, the Strelitzia does not cope well with waterlogging. The ‘Bird of Paradise’ is native to South Africa. The Strelitzia prefers a humid atmosphere due to it being a slightly tropical plant.
