Strawberry Plant 'Long Cropping' Collection
- 3 variety collection giving strawberries from Early June to end of Autumn
- Great value collection covering 5 months of cropping
- Good choice if you aren't sure of which varieties to pick or are NEW to strawberry growing
- All high yielding varieties for bumper crops
Collection contains these varieties:
Strawberry 'Vibrant' (Early Season)
One of the very earliest varieties to fruit. In warm springs, fruit can come from the end of May. Generally fruits from Early June to Early July.
Once the plants are mature, usually year 3 onward, this variety produces a high number of trusses in succession each with 4 to 5 flowers each. This gives a constant crop and uniform fruit size. Vibrant has good resistance to mildew and crown rot.
Strawberry 'Cambridge Favourite' (Main Season)
Probably one of the most well know and popular varieties because it is such a reliable cropper on all types of soil and under all sorts of conditions. Provides a good crop of medium-sized, light red fruits.
Grows well on a wide range of soils and conditions, which is why it is so popular. Has excellent disease resistance phytophora and fusarium crown and root rot.
Strawberry 'Flamenco' (Everbearer)
Fruiting period starts in late July, but being an everbearing variety, continues to produce flowers and fruit into late autumn, with main production in September.
Good flavour, with glossy orange-red coloured skins. Grows well in a wide range of soils and has good resistance to Verticillium Wilt.
