Juneberry Bare Root Hedge
Amelanchier lamarckii is commonly known as 'Juneberry' and is an extremely popular UK native hedge that displays bright white flowers with dark red fruits in summer and purple-black in autumn. If you don’t get to the fruits quick enough the birds will have a feast on these apple flavoured treats. The colour changes of foliage through the year are amazing from a pink silky colour on to a vibrant green colour in summer then on to warm gold in autumn.
Juneberry is suited to any soil types and can be planted inland or in coastal areas. Amelanchier grows at around 30-40cm per year but can be pruned.
