Guelder Rose Bare Root Hedge
Viburnum opulus is commonly known as 'Guelder Rose' it is an extremely popular hedge that displays vibrant bright green foliage with creamy white lace-cap flower heads in Summer. Once the flowers fall this plant produces colourful bright red berries with beautiful bright red winter foliage. These berries produce excellent winter feeding for wildlife and wild birds.
Viburnum opulus will do fine in any type of soil and can be planted inland or in coastal areas. Guelder Rose grows at around 1-2 feet per year but can be pruned to a manageable size of 1m high if required.
