Ficus lyrata

The Fiddle-Leaf Fig, also known as Banjo Fig, is a unique and vibrant houseplant. This large, indoor plant comes in a variety of sizes - the tallest we have reaches an impressive 100cm! It has larger leaves than most other Ficus, with each leaf growing up to 30cm long and 13cm wide. The fiddle-shaped foliage features bright green colour and an attractive, veined pattern, making it a very eye-catching focal point for living rooms and hallways.

Ficus lyrata is also very beneficial for your living area due to its air-purifying traits. This sees harmful pollutants and unwanted toxins removed to improve air quality. Being relatively easy to care for, it will prefer a spot that is not too shady or sunny. A regular mist will help, although consistent watering is key, especially if the leaves begin to drop.
