English Yew Hedge

£20.00From £15.00

Taxus baccata is commonly known as 'English Yew' and is an extremely popular UK native hedge that displays vibrant dark green foliage with red berries on the female plants in autumn. This slow growing conifer is perfect for noise reduction in your garden because it is so dense and is great for creating a formal hedge. This hedge is also excellent for wildbirds with the fruits in autumn from the female plants and the thick dense hedge that protects nesting for wildlife.

English Yew is suited to any soil types. Carpinus grows at around 1-2 feet per year but can be pruned to a manageable size.

The English Yew Hedge is okay, not bad for the price but not perfect either.
