Swiss Chard Plant 'Pink Peppermint'
- Vibrant pink and white stems
- Wrinkled green leaves can be cooked like spinach
- Very strong healthy plants
- Stems and leaves are both edible
Swiss chard ‘Pink Peppermint adds bright colour to the vegetable garden with its candy-pink and white stems. The wrinkled green leaves can be cooked like spinach and the vibrant pink stems are delicious too!
A strong and very productive variety, ‘Pink Peppermint’ can be harvested practically all year. Pick young for tender baby leaf chard that can be added to salads, or allow it to mature for strong green leaves. Swiss chard can be harvested as a cut-and-come-again veg by picking just the outer leaves, or by cutting off all the leaves a couple of inches above ground level and waiting for new leaves to grow.
