Amelanchier 'Ballerina'

Amelanchier 'Ballerina' holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit and makes a fabulous addition to any garden. It has an upright, graceful habit growing into a small bush or a lovely ornamental small tree with a broad crown. As a tree, expect a height of around 4m and a spread of around 3m in a 20 year period.

The Snowy Mespilus Tree offers beautiful ovate leaves that are coppery-bronze when young. In summer they turn to a dark-green. In autumn the display becomes spectacular with the fine serrated leaf edges turning to a striking red-purple and orange hues.

Amelanchier 'Ballerina' is fully hardy and tolerant of most soil types. It will grow well in damp sites and polluted city areas but does best in clay or sandy soil. Plant in full sun or partial shade.
